Koko Di Alma by Anny Almasidou - Jewellery Designer
Anny Almasidou was born in Thessaloniki, Greece. She studied Interior and Spatial Design at the Chelsea College of Art and Design in London and began her career as a jewellery designer in 2005.
Her love of the urban landscape, famous architectural structures, and the elegant forms found in nature gradually transformed into unique pieces of jewellery made of gold, silver, gold-plated silver and brass, as well as precious and semi-precious stones.
Her work quickly became distinguishable, selling online in Greece and abroad, and via selected boutiques in Greece, London and the U.S.A.
In 2007 and for four consecutive years her jewellery was selected for sale in the Benaki Museum Boutique Shop. In 2016 she designed the limited edition bracelet for the charity race "People Run", and in April 2017 she was chosen by Marina Vernicos, founder of the not-for-profit organisation CREAID, to participate in their 'designer jewellery' project where she donated a piece designed exclusively for their auction.
For the last two years Anny has been developing her brand, Koko Di Alma, establishing her trademark style of easy-to-wear jewellery, recognisable for its architectural lines and industrial character.
The collection is currently sold at galleries and stores throughout Greece such as: The Stavros Niarhos Foundation Cultural Center, The Benaki Museum, The Theoharakis Foundation of Art and The Municipal Art Gallery of Larissa.
Η Άννυ Αλμασίδου γεννήθηκε στη Θεσσαλονίκη. Σπούδασε Interior and Spatial Design στο Chelsea College of Art and Design στο Λονδίνο και άρχισε να σχεδιάζει κοσμήματα το 2005.
Το αστικό τοπίο, τα κτίρια διάσημων αρχιτεκτόνων και ο αρμονικός ρυθμός της φύσης, οι μεγαλύτερες πηγές έμπνευσής της, μετουσιώθηκαν σταδιακά σε χειροποίητα κοσμήματα από ασήμι, χρυσό, επιχρυσωμένο ασήμι, ημιπολύτιμους και πολύτιμους λίθους.
Η δουλειά της ξεχώρισε γρήγορα και οι συλλογές της έκαναν πωλήσεις κυρίως μέσω ίντερνετ στην Ελλάδα και στο εξωτερικό, καθώς και σε επιλεγμένα καταστήματα στο Λονδίνο και στις Η.Π.Α.
Από το 2007 έως το 2011, τα κοσμήματά της διατίθετο στο πωλητήριο του Μουσείου Μπενάκη στην Πειραιώς. Το 2016 φιλοτέχνησε το συλλεκτικό βραχιόλι του φιλανθρωπικού αγώνα δρόμου People Run, ενώ τον Απρίλιο του 2017 επιλέχθηκε για να συμμετάσχει με ένα κόσμημά της στο Designer Jewelry Project της ΜΚΟ Creaid της Μαρίνας Βερνίκου , ως μία από τους σχεδιαστές που πρόσφεραν ένα αποκλειστικά σχεδιασμένο κομμάτι για την δημοπρασία.
Τα δύο τελευταία χρόνια η Άννυ Αλμασίδου βρίσκεται πίσω από το jewelry brand Koko Di Alma, εδραιώνοντας το χαρακτηριστικό στιλ της, με ευκολοφόρετα κοσμήματα αναγνωρίσιμα για τις αρχιτεκτονικές γραμμές και τον industrial χαρακτήρα τους.
Την συλλογη των κοσμηματων της θα την βρειτε στο πωλητήριο του Ιδρύματος Θεοχαράκη, Σταύρος Νιάρχος και στην Δημοτική Πινακοθήκη Κατσίγρα της Λάρισας.
