Care Instructions

 

All jewellery should be taken off before showering/swimming/exercising.

Do not spray on perfume or other sprays while wearing your gold plated jewellery. Wear your jewellery after you have sprayed on your favourite perfume so that chemicals on the spray or perfume does not interact with your jewellery’s metal.

 

However, all gold plated jewellery are liable to lose their colour overtime. The fading of the gold plating depends on various factors, such as direct contact with chemical products used for skincare, level of perspiration or even your natural skin PH. For this reason, it is important to take special care of your gold plated jewellery.Water does not affect the quality of the platting, as long as it doesn’t stay on the jewellery. Sea water can affect the brightness of the colour plating. Avoid direct contact with perfumes, creams, sunscreens.

 

Sterling Silver jewellery is meant for everyday wear, while cleaning and caring for your silver is simple. You can either use a small amount of toothpaste and a soft cloth to clean your Sterling Silver. Or you can use any Sterling Silver cleaning solution that can be found at any major retail department store. 

 

If you do not plan on wearing the jewellery for long periods of time, it is ideal to store it in a zip bag made of polyethylene, or an air-tight container separate from other jewellery with the silica pouch inside the box. Store your jewellery away from natural sunlight and heat. Please note that our boxes are not made for long-term storage for our gold plated jewellery, as they are not airtight.

We can only accept repairs for items purchased directly from us. For most cases we will charge a very small fee depending on the current condition of the jewellery. Repairs for items purchased at one of our retailers must be communicated through the original point of purchase.

 

In case you want to re-plate your Koko Di Alma jewellery, please contact us and we will re-plate it with a small charge.
